About the team

The creative brain behind ShowBee is Hilde Van Riet.

For me, the goal of ShowBee is to inspire ladies: to inspire them to be creative with an outfit themselves, to add small details and reveal or just hide facets. That way, you can create a unique outfit and feel just that little bit more special. And all without having to be a handy lady yourself.

People sometimes ask me why I venture into the world of lingerie: they see it as a complex product in a difficult market. And yes, it is. But I also see the beauty of it: lingerie is something fine for yourself. A beautiful product finished with many refined and special details. A product that is just a little bit different from the rest of the clothes and that therefore just excites me. Still, nice to stand out with a product that is not so obvious after all.

Besides lingerie, what else can you tell us about yourself?

Well, I am a proud mother of three daughters. That sometimes makes things busy, but they also provide unexpected but much-needed distractions. Professionally, I work as a training coordinator and coach for the Belgian federal government. I’m also certified as colour and style consultant and have been an active blogger for 10 years with Hildes Lingerieblog.

Who else is part of the team?

If there’s one thing, I’m really not excited about, it’s numbers. For that I can rely on my husband, Johan De Clerck, financial expert and entrepreneur. He tries to bring the necessary realism to my dreams and also monitors all the finances and administration. In addition, he also likes to help review my latest designs and is only too happy to help when I want to try on a new design myself 🙂.
